Deep Sidhu was born on 2 April 1984 in the house of Sr Surjeet Singh house at the village Udekaran, Muktsar (Punjab). He belongs to a sikh family.
His father, late Sr Surjeet Singh was a lawyer. Deep Sidhu’s mother passed away when he was 4 years old. He is married and his family live in Mumbai.

Deep Sidhu was very close to the Dharmendra family, Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol contested the Indian General elections for Bjp from Gurdaspur. So, Deep did complain to BJP MP Sunny Deol.
In the farmer protest, Sunny Deol was against the farmer protest, then Deep Sidhu broke his relationship with Sunny.

Role in Farmer Protest
Deep Sidhu is an activist. He raised his voice for the farmer in august 2020 when 3 bills were passed by the Indian government which related to farmers.
He went to different places in Punjab and informed the people about the loss of bills and encouraged them to take part in the agitation.
At first, the agitation took place under his leadership at the Sambu border, although other farmers’ organizations in Punjab at that time were fighting by stopping trains.
Then at the call of the farmers’ organizations, all the people including the people of Punjab and Haryana went to Dehli and set up their fronts on every border of Dehli.
The leaders of the movement here were leaders of 31 farmers’ organizations. The struggle on Dehli’s wings went on peacefully for 2 months, but the issue was not resolved.

On 26th Jan, farmers paraded in Dehli which included about 10 lakh tractors, some of which went towards the route given by the government,
but some tractors went to the Red Fort and there on the Red Fort building hoisting the farmer union flag and Nisan Sahib (Sikh Symbol). Also, Deep Sidhu was here when the flag was hosted.

Controversies
with Lakha Sidhana
In Aug, When farmer agitation started in Punjab, Lakha and Deep Sidhu together join the agitation. A few days later there were differences of opinion as Lakha’s idea was to shut down the reliance pumps and malls in the protest,
but Deep Sidhu instead set up his front at Sambhu Border.
Later, Lakhe agreed with Deep and he also supported Deep.

Bakhtaur has accused Deep Sidhu’s father of collaborating with the police in 1984 to kill innocent youth for money. Deep Sidhu said that all the allegations made by Bakhtor Sidhu are baseless. Deep also said in the video that he would take revenge.

Death
Deep died in a road accident on 15 February 2022, at the age of 37. The accident occurred on the KMP (Kundli-Manesar highway), in Haryana’s Kharkhoda area, near Delhi.
Sidhu was driving his car (Scorpio) towards Punjab. There were two people in the car; the passenger, a Punjabi actress named Reena Rai urf Rajwinder Kaur, survived with injuries.
According to Sonipat police, Sidhu died around 9 p.m. near the Peepli toll booth, after his car hit the rear end of a truck parked on the highway.
The truck had broken down on the side of the road. The driver’s side of the car took the maximum impact of the crash. Sidhu was declared dead at the hospital.
But those who love Deep Sidhu say that Deep Sidhu was assassinated because he was becoming a big headache for the government.
Reena Rai gave her statement on her Instagram account, Below I share some screenshots of Reena Rai’s post uploaded on Instagram, in which she mentions the last time she spent with Deep.
Regarding the death of Deep Sidhu, the President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann said that how Deep Sidhu died is still a mystery, because Deep Sidhu had only a hole in his forehead which looked as if he had been shot. And there were no rods or sharp objects in the truck that hit him in the forehead.
He said that there was no sign of any injury other than his forehead of Deep. If the accident had happened, Deep’s body and other limbs should have been injured.
“We will continue to investigate by UNO and bring the truth to light,” he said.
Deep Sidhu was cremated at village Tharike, Ludhiana and his last prayers were offered on the land of Fatehgarh Sahib keeping in view the love of the people for Deep Sidhu.
