He struggled for three years before his debut and had to wash cars in Australia. After that, in 2011, he was made debut with the album ‘Batchmate’ which became an instant success with the hit song ‘Chudiyaan’.
In 2012 he followed this up by releasing the single ‘Vigrey Sharabi’. After that, he appeared in his second album ‘Batchmade 2’, which became a bigger hit than the previous one and included the song ‘Lancer’ with lyrics by ‘Narinder Batth’.

In 2018, Gill signed to make a film with ‘Gauhar Khan’ in ‘Yarran Ainvayi Ainvayi Lut Gya’, which marked his debut in Punjabi films.
He also signed on to star in ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’ alongside ‘Sonakshi Sinha’, Diana Penty, Jimmy Shergill, this was his first Bollywood film. It was released on 24 August 2018. This movie became a hit and earned +crores.
