- In the early days of Veet Baljit, Kamal Heer, a well known artist, gave him a lot of support.
- He won The Best Lyricist Award for his song Beri in 2015.
- Veet Baljit has always enjoyed creating songs since he was a youngster. He had Listened Ranjit Mani’s song Mere Ranje’s principal song in 1993, after which he thought that he would become a singer.

With Sippy Gill
In 2012, Sippy Gill, a well-known artist, released a song titled “Mitra Di Chaddi Kalan”. The song was claimed by Veet Baljit that Sippy Gill had stolen his song, the video in which Veet Baljit claims it is in the following reference.
Kharku Song
In 2012, Veet Baljit gave a song to Diljit Dosanjh, the lyrics of which was “Kiwe Tod Du Koe Tere Mera Pyaar Ni, Muhre jatt Kharku Khada” This song was met with strong love and was opposed by Sikh organizations.
Sikh gatherings have said the song tarnished the image of the Kharku. Diljit Dosanjh also apologized to all Punjabis for this song.
In 2017, Veet Baljit was asked about the song and he said that it meant something else. He said that for me, the word Kharku means fearless, courageous.
